When you sign up through one of our adverts, we share limited information with Meta Platforms so that we can measure how well our adverts work. This is your email address and phone number in scrambled (hashed) form, an internal reference number, the advert click ID, your IP address and your device or browser type. Meta may process this outside South Africa under its business terms. We don’t share your ID number, balances or transactions. You can opt out at any time in the wallet or by emailing legal@mymoolah.africa.
LinkedIn. When you sign up or ask for a demo after clicking one of our LinkedIn adverts, we share limited information with LinkedIn so we can measure how well our adverts work: your email address in scrambled (hashed) form, the advert click ID, your IP address and an event reference. We do this in our legitimate interest in measuring our advertising. LinkedIn may process this information outside South Africa under its advertising and data-processing terms, which protect it to a standard similar to POPIA. We never share your ID number, balances or transactions. You can object at any time in the wallet or by emailing legal@mymoolah.africa, and we will stop.

7A. AI Phone Support Line
When you call our support line on 021 300 0537, your call is answered by an AI assistant named Thandi. Calls to this line are recorded. You can ask to speak to a person; calls are transferred to our team between 09:00 and 17:00. Please never share your PIN, OTP or password on a call.
Purpose: We process call recordings and transcripts to answer your support queries and for quality assurance.
Service providers and international transfers: To provide this service, our service providers process call data outside South Africa:
- Hostinger, in France, which hosts our voice service.
- Groq, in the United States, for speech and AI processing.
These transfers are made under written data processing agreements that give protection substantially similar to POPIA, as section 72(1)(a) of POPIA requires, including the EU standard contractual clauses.
Retention: We keep call audio for 90 days and call transcripts for 12 months. Where a call relates to a complaint or suspected fraud, the relevant records are kept with the support ticket until the matter is closed, and then for as long as the law requires.
Your rights: Under sections 23 to 25 of POPIA, you may ask us to confirm whether we hold personal information about you, request access to it, and request its correction or deletion. To exercise these rights, please contact our Information Officer at legal@mymoolah.africa.

11. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels and local storage) on mymoolah.africa and in the MyMoolah wallet (wallet.mymoolah.africa). We group them as follows:
- Necessary: needed for the site and wallet to work, for example security, sign-in and saving your cookie choice. These are always on, because we cannot provide the service without them.
- Analytics: help us understand how visitors use our site so we can improve it. Used only with your consent.
- Marketing: used only with your consent. These include the Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms (Meta Platforms Ireland Limited and Meta Platforms, Inc.). When you consent, the Meta Pixel collects information such as the pages you visit, your browser and device details, your IP address, and actions such as starting or completing wallet registration. We use it to measure how well our Facebook and Instagram ads work and to show our ads to relevant audiences. We do not send your name, ID number, phone number, email address or balances through the Pixel. We do not use the Meta Pixel on signed-in wallet screens.
- LinkedIn Insight Tag (marketing). Set by LinkedIn on mymoolah.africa marketing pages only, never in the wallet, and only after you accept marketing cookies. It tells us when a LinkedIn advert led to a visit, sign-up or demo request. Data may be processed outside South Africa by LinkedIn. You can withdraw consent at any time under Cookie settings.
Your choice: non-essential cookies are off until you click “Accept all” or turn a category on under “Preferences”. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time using the “Cookie settings” link in the website footer. Withdrawing consent stops further collection but does not affect processing done before you withdrew. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
International transfers: Meta may process Pixel data outside South Africa, including in Ireland and the United States. We share this data only with your consent and under Meta’s written data processing terms, including the EU standard contractual clauses, which provide protection substantially similar to POPIA, as section 72 of POPIA requires. For how Meta uses data, see https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
Retention: we keep your cookie choice for 12 months. Meta keeps Pixel data in line with its own terms. The _fbp cookie expires after 90 days.
Questions about cookies: contact our Information Officer at legal@mymoolah.africa.
